PREPARATOR / POLISHER

We are looking for a highly skilled Preparator / Polisher to join our automotive repair workshop. Are you a skilled and meticulous polisher with a passion for automotive excellence? We want you to join our dynamic team!

Our Company offers a comprehensive after-sales service which includes servicing, spray painting, mechanical repairs, and panel beating.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the vehicle and make sure that all body works have been done correctly.
• Examining and cleaning repaired bodywork and discussing what you need to do to finish it.
• Masking (covering) the parts not to be painted.
• Able to smooth any unmasked surfaces by removing any previous coats of paint and sanding any rough areas.
• Applying paper and masking tape to protect any unpainted surfaces and removing them after the vehicle is ready.
• The use of hand and power tools will be required.
• Preparing surfaces and vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming.
• Polishing paintwork. polisher
• Assess the paintwork, paint surfaces for minor scratches, oxidation, swirls, watermark stains, or heavier damage, and defects, such as scratches that reach deep into the paint layer, paint transfer, and severe oxidation.
• Choose the right polishing/buffing pad.
• Restore the shine with car polish.
• Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain equipment and tools in optimal condition.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Have an eye for detail.
• Be able to work with a range of materials, including paint and polishes.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience related to the role.
• An awareness of safety procedures.
